Frequently Asked Questions

What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates uses a spring-loaded carriage (“the reformer”) to create resistance. You’ll work through low-impact, full-body movements that build strength, improve posture and mobility, and enhance core stability.

I’m a complete beginner. Can I join?

Absolutely. Book Fundamentals for your first session so we can coach your setup, safety and technique. You’ll be moving confidently in no time.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, fitted activewear (nothing too loose). Grip socks are required (we sell these in the studio) for hygiene and safety. Tie long hair back and avoid dangly jewellery.

Do I need to bring anything?

A water bottle. We provide all equipment and cleaning spray. If you prefer, bring your own towel.

How long is a class?

50 minutes. Please arrive 10 minutes early for your first visit so we can show you the reformer.

How many people are in a class?

We keep classes small 5 clients only so you get hands-on coaching and form corrections.

How often should I come?

2–3 sessions per week delivers the best results.

Once a week still helps you maintain strength and mobility.

What’s the Intro Offer right now?

£49 for 3 classes, valid for 14 days (new clients only, no extensions).

It’s the best way to try different class styles and meet the team.

I’m pregnant / postnatal – is Reformer safe?

Please email us before booking so we can advise the right class or arrange a 1:1. With medical clearance, Pilates can be highly beneficial during pregnancy and postnatally, but exercise selection and cueing matter.

Is it suitable for men?

100%. Reformer Pilates is brilliant for strength, mobility and sports performance across all genders.

Will I be sore?

Possibly (hello, deep core!). Mild DOMS is normal for a day or two. Keep moving, hydrate, and book your next class within the week.

What’s the difference between Mat and Reformer Pilates?

Mat uses your bodyweight on the floor; Reformer adds springs and a moving carriage for adjustable resistance and a wider exercise library. Both are low-impact and form-focused.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before class to avoid losing your credit. Late cancels/no-shows are charged to keep things fair.

Do you offer private sessions?

Yes – 1:1 and 2:1 are available for technique, rehab, pre/postnatal, or confidence-building.

We also offer larger group private sessions up to 5 people.

Email us to arrange.

Accessibility

Our studio is ground-floor. If you have access needs, please contact us in advance so we can support you.

Studio etiquette & hygiene

Please clean your reformer after class (spray provided), wear grip socks, and phones on silent.

Be kind – we’re all here to move and feel better.

I’m nervous – will I fit in?

Completely. Classes are small, friendly and coached. We’ll look after you from your very first session.
